Accessibility Statement
Effective date: August 12, 2026
Wings Web Lab is committed to making our website usable by as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technology such as screen readers, screen magnification, or voice control. It would be more than a little embarrassing for a digital equity project to have an inaccessible website, so we take this seriously.
Standard We Aim For
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, and more user-friendly for everyone.
What We've Done
- Skip-to-content links on every page;
- Semantic HTML landmarks (header, nav, main, footer) throughout;
- Descriptive alt text on meaningful images;
- Form fields tied to visible labels, including grouped fieldsets for related radio-button questions;
- Text and background color combinations checked against WCAG AA contrast requirements; and
- Visible keyboard focus indicators on links, buttons, and form controls.
Known Limitations
No website is perfectly accessible, and ours is no exception. We review the site periodically and welcome reports of anything that doesn't work well with assistive technology.
Feedback
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on this site, please let us know at support@wingsweblab.org. Please include the web page and, if possible, a brief description of the issue so we can look into it.
